Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal inaugurated the online registration facility of the Chhattisgarh Pharmacy Council (CPC) on Wednesday.
This eliminates the need for pharmacy students and chemists to visit the Pharmacy Council in Raipur for registration or renewal.
They will have to visit the council office only once to verify documents.
On this occasion, Jaiswal said the pharmacists are an important link between doctors and patients.
Until now, all pharmacists from across the state had to visit the council office in Raipur for registration. This initiative will provide them a lot of convenience, he said. Presently, there are over 33,000 registered pharmacists in Chhattisgarh.
