In Ashoka Garden area, a miscreant opened fired at a youth riding a scooter who was going to visit Ganesha pandals late on Saturday, he sustained bullet injury in his waist.

He has been admitted to a private hospital in Chunabhatti, where his condition is reportedly out of danger.

The accused miscreant is already absconding in a murder case. The police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused youth in this case and started searching for him.

Additional DCP Rashmi Agarwal Dubey Raunak Singh  (24) lives in New Ashoka Garden. On Saturday night at around 1 he was going with his friend Shubham alias Babu Tendulkar on a scoote  to visit the  Ganesha pandal in Sundar Nagar. Shubham was driving the scooter, while Raunak was sitting behind. As soon as he reached near Semra Durga temple, the miscreant Yash Agarwal came from behind overtaking the vehicle and stopped the vehicle in front.

Before anyone could understand anything, he fired at Shubham and fled. As soon as Shubham was shot, blood started flowing from his stomach, so Raunak Singh, who was sitting as pillion , took him to the hospital. Where his condition is said to be critical. Also, the police have also registered an FIR against the accused on the complaint of Raunak Singh.

The reason behind the attack is said to be an old enmity. Police said that the main reason for the attack will be known only after the injured regains consciousness. At present, the police is investigating the matter.

Bazaria TI Jitendra Gurjar said that the accused Yash Agarwal was involved in a murder in 2023. The accused has been absconding since this incident. Not only this, the police has also announced a reward on providing his information.
