Yogi government has decided to pay salary to its 20 lakh staff on the occasion of holi

The festival of colours has brought good news for the state employees as the Yogi government has decided to pay salary to its 20 lakh staff on February 28.

Secretary, Finance, Mukesh Mittal said that the government had issued an order for payment of this month’s salary positively by February 28 to all employees of state government, aided educational and technical institutions and urban local bodies. “Even ad hoc employees will get their salary on Wednesday,” he said.

In a written statement, Mittal said that the decision was taken in the wake of Holi festival falling on March 1 and 2. 

“All district magistrates and chief and senior treasury officers have been issued directive in this regard. They have been asked to release payment at the earliest,” he said.

Meanwhile, the UP government has banned strikes in all services of Secondary Education Board with immediate effect for a period of six months. “The step was taken in public interest under ‘UP Essential Services Maintenance Act’ (ESMA),” a government spokesman said in a written statement issued in lucknow on Tuesday.
