Two youths attacked a bus driver and conductor in a moving city bus in 11 mile area, accused boarded the bus and started beating the driver who got severe injuries.

The youths also threatened the passengers who came to save the driver.

This spread panic among  passengers  . They got so scared that they got down from the bus and escaped. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the bus and in the video which is about one and a half minute duration. The accused have been spotted hitting the driver and creating ruckus.

The incident was reported on Tuesday afternoon at 1.45 pm. The city bus bearing registration number MP04PA4424 was going from Sehore Naka to Mandideep. Then two employees of a private bus boarded the city bus. As soon as they reached inside, they started beating the driver Vivek Udhavni.

About a year ago, after the order of the High Court, BCLL had stopped the operation of buses from Bhopal to Mandideep and Bilkisganj, which are within the radius of 25 km outside the municipal corporation limits. Eight months ago, the service to Mandideep was restarted.

One of the two bus operators started operating buses on 25 January and the other on 26 January. After this, a total of 45 buses started running on this route. More than 20 thousand passengers travel on this route every day.

Private bus operators want to seat as many passengers as possible in their buses. Due to this, many times there is a dispute with the driver and conductor of the city bus. Such cases come up every month. On Tuesday, the driver of the city bus, Vivek, was beaten up with kicks and punches.

He said that the employees of the private bus often threaten that there should not be a kilometer ahead or behind. We will seat the passengers. Passengers should be seated from Mandideep to Bhopal only. Passengers should not be seated anywhere on the way.

During the assault on the driver, an attempt was made to save a passenger, but the youths also threatened the passenger.

The CCTV camera was also broken. After assaulting the driver, the employees of the private bus also broke the CCTV camera. However, the recording was already saved on the server.

The two youths kept assaulting the driver for a long time. Conductor Anand Kumar was also standing nearby, but he did not even try to save the driver. On the other hand, when a passenger tried to save the driver, both the youths threatened him.
