An unsuspecting Government school teacher is being blackmailed over an obscene video after he received a video call on WhatsApp from an unidentified caller on Tuesday. Later, the caller asked him to pay an amount or else the obscene video of the teacher with the caller would be made viral. Having no option, the teacher has lodged an FIR with the Town police, who have referred the complaint to the Cyber Cell to investigate. The victim Biswaranjan Purohit, a native of Brahmanipada under the Town police station, while having lunch at his home, received a video call from an unknown number ((7873991432). When he received the call, he was shocked to see a girl standing stark naked. Seeing this, Purohit immediately disconnected the call. But after some time, Purohit received a snapshot in his whatsapp number where he saw his own image and the image of the girl getting undressed (whom he had seen in the video call). He also received a message demanding him to send Rs 11, 000 to her through 'PhonePe'. The girl also threatened that if she did not receive the demanded amount, the video of their snapshot would be made viral in social media. Later, a youth also demanded the same amount and repeated the threat which the girl had made.
