Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi will file her nomination from her stronghold Rae Bareli lok Sabha seat on April 2 next and address a rally on the same day.
Gandhi's son Rahul, daughter Priyanka and son-in-law Robert Vadra would also be present on the occasion, according to K l Sharma, the representative of the Congress president. As per the programme, Ms Gandhi would arrive in her constituency on April 2 and perform 'hawan' and 'puja' at party office.later, she would proceed towards collectorate to file her nomination papers and later address a public meeting at Government Inter College.
The nomination for the Rae Bareli lok Sabha seat, going to polls in the fourth phase on April 30, would commence from April 2.The papers would be taken up for scrutiny on April 10, while the last date for withdrawal of names will be April 12.The counting of votes will take place on May 16.
