The Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City organized a cultural program titled "Ek Shaam Kanha Ke Naam" at its premises in Janvrith 4. The event saw enthusiastic participation from numerous club members. Following the regular meeting, Club President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta and Club Secretary Rotarian Hardeep Singh entrusted the program's proceedings to the Ladies Committee, led by its President, Rotarian Alka Gupta.
The evening commenced with devotional songs celebrating the birth of Laddu Gopal, followed by offerings of various delicacies, including makhan and mishri, to Shri Banke Bihari Ji.
Under the leadership of Rotarian Alka Gupta, members including Rotarian Pushpa Kejriwal, Rotarian Sandhya Raj, Binny Kakkar, Rotarian Khonen Liu, Kunjala Narayan, Rotarian Mansi Sahana, Rotarian Jaswinder Kaur, Sunita Jain, Rotarian Aarti Rastogi, Rotarian Rakhi Banerjee, Rotarian Poonam Trehan, and Ayesha Agarwal, presented captivating dances and skits. Notably, Rotarian Sandhya Raj's portrayal of Lord Krishna was highly appreciated, while Rotarian Alka Gupta’s performance as Narad Muni garnered resounding applause.
Speaking on the significance of such events, President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta emphasized that these performances allow us to imbibe the virtues of our deities, fostering positive energy in our conduct and inspiring the audience to adopt a better lifestyle and noble values.
The event also featured other cultural performances, with large participation from club members.
