Prof. Naeem Khan, senior professor cum chairman of regional languages department of BS College, Lohardaga, retired on Saturday after serving for 40 years. A grand farewell ceremony was organized by the administration and students. The students brought Professor Naim Khan to the main stage of the Multipurpose Building while dancing with Jharkhandi customs and Dhol-Mandar. After the welcome song and dance, all the teachers honored him by giving him a flower bouquet, memento and bodysuit. Senior Professor of the college, Dr. Neeta Sahay, while reading the memorial letter for Prof. Naeem Khan, praised his devoted service in various positions. On the occasion, Principal Dr. Shiv Kumar Prasad Gupta said that the 40 years of service of Prof. Khan is unforgettable. Whatever post he held, he performed his duties with full honesty and devotion. Dr. Shashi Gupta, Chairman of the Chemistry Department of the college, said that a personality like Prof. Naeem Khan is very rare. He had a spiritual relationship with everyone in the college. 40 years of impeccable service is a record in itself. The program was conducted by Hindi Prof. Manish Mishra. All the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the college were present on the occasion.
