This season, the sluicegates of Kaliyasot have been opened 7 times, Bhadbhada 6 times, while the sluice gates of Kolar dam have been opened for the fourth time. Maximum 8 out of 11 sluice gates of Bhadbhada, all 13 sluice gates of Kaliyasot and 4 out of 8 sluice gates of Kolar dam have been opened.
The normal rainfall of the district is 37.6 inches. Due to heavy rains in July and August, the quota of the season was full.
