Marandi meets various groups sitting on dharna

Thursday, 05 September 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today met the representatives of Jharkhand State Mukhiya Sangh, Jharkhand State Panchayat Secretary Sangh, Jharkhand State Jal Sahia Employees Union, Jharkhand Vocational Trainer Sangh sitting on a dharna near Raj Bhavan, listened to their problems, took memorandums and assured them of resolving their problems once the BJP government is formed.

Marandi said that the JMM/Congress government has nothing to do with resolving the problems of the people. He told the people sitting on the dharna that you all should not expect anything from the present government. This government is formed only to loot and get looted. The JMM/Congress  government is not running by law but by brokers and middlemen like Pankaj Mishra, Pintu, Prem Prakash.

He said that the foundation of democracy rests on the Gram Sabha. The Hemant government wants to weaken the Gram Sabha and keep all the rights in its control. He said that the situation of dharna arises when the government does not want to listen to the problems. BJP stands with the dharna of the Mukhiya Sangh.

He said that he will ask the state government to talk to the public representatives and solve the problem.

He said that there is an atmosphere of chaos all around. 15 promising youths of the state lost their lives while running due to the wrong decision of the government. In such a situation, it is surprising that the Chief Minister of the state celebrates and dances with his wife in Delhi.

He said that the Hemant government wants to get the approval of Abuwa housing approved in the district without getting it passed by the Gram Sabha. He stopped this from happening in Giridih.

He said that the schemes of village development should first be passed by the Gram Sabha, Panchayat Samiti. The public representatives of the village know who is more entitled to the scheme.

He said that the Gram Sabha should have the right over resources like minor minerals, sand, market, market. He said that the first state government led by him had taken similar decisions. The sand ghat was the responsibility of the Gram Sabha. All the people of the village used to look after the market. Appointment of Para teachers was also done through Gram Sabha. But since the Hemant government was formed, it handed over the sand ghats to the brokers and middlemen of Mumbai, Delhi.

He said that this government talks about giving pension today but for the last 160 days, the disabled are sitting on a dharna near the Raj Bhavan for a pension of Rs 2500, no one is taking care of them. Similarly, the sisters of Panchayat Secretary, Vocational Teachers Association, Jal Sahia are sitting on dharna. They are pleading for their legitimate demands, women are sitting with small children in the heat and rain, and this government is beating the drum of women's respect.

He assured that if the BJP government comes, all the problems will be solved. Constitutional rights will be given to the Gram Sabha. Those who met Marandi at the dharna site included State Media Incharge Shiv Pujan Pathak, State Spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev, Ramakant Mahato, Shobha Yadav
