Heavy rains occurred in 13 districts

Over 13 districts of the state received heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh in past 24 hours. Besides, light rain was also recorded in Betul, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Narsinghpur and Satna districts.

A new weather system is becoming active from Saturday. It will bring heavy rains in the eastern part of the state Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol and Sagar divisions for 2 days.

Senior meteorologist said, 'A monsoon trough is merging with the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal through Shivpuri, Sidhi of the state. After a day or two, it will move forward showing its effect. Due to this, there may be heavy rain in the districts of the eastern part of the state.'

So far, 33.6 inches of rain has been recorded in Madhya Pradesh, which is 90% of the season. As soon as 3.7 inches of water falls, the normal rainfall figure will be crossed in the state. Mandla and Seoni are such districts where 45-46 inches of rainfall has been recorded while Rewa has received the least rainfall of 22.3 inches. Now good rain is expected in September as well.

Heavy rain has occurred in Guna since 7 pm on Friday. Heavy rainfall was witnessed for an hour. The sun had been shining since morning, due to which there was a lot of humidity.
