Guva martyrdom day | CM unveils schemes over Rs 202. Cr in W Singhbhum

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday paid tributes to the brave martyrs of Guwa firing incident at Noamundi in West Singhbhum. Chief Minister addressing the tribute paying-cum-laying of foundation stone of projects-inauguration and asset distribution programme organized in memory of the martyrs of Guava firing incident at Noamundi in West Singhbhum district said, “Hundreds of salutes to the brave martyrs of Guwa firing incident. We are remembering their sacrifice in the tribute meeting organized in honour of these brave martyrs. On this occasion, let us all take a pledge to imbibe the ideals of our martyrs, ancestors and agitators and build the Jharkhand of their dreams.”

The Chief Minister said this is a day for the whole of Jharkhand including Kolhan, which we have never forgotten and will never forget. Our brave martyrs will always remain an ideal for the coming generation. These brave martyrs have always been our guide. In such a situation, by following their ideals, we are giving a new direction to Jharkhand.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has been the land of heroes. There is no corner of Jharkhand from where you do not get to hear the names of brave martyrs. Whether it is a fight against injustice-exploitation-tyranny or a war against British rule. Our tribal-indigenous people always struggled. They never learned to bow down before anyone. They did not compromise with their honour and self-respect. Even if they had to sacrifice themselves for it. This is the reason why the names of many of our brave martyrs are recorded in the pages of history, while many are still unknown. We are proud of all our brave martyrs.

The Chief Minister said that when the blood running in the veins of the tribal natives overflows, they put all their strength for their rights and entitlements. The more the blood of the tribals falls on the ground, the more tribal heroes are born. Tribals do not disintegrate due to struggles but come out stronger. “I can say with confidence that just as we got Jharkhand as a separate state after a long fight, in the same way we are working to make this state stronger, “ said Soren.

The Chief Minister said that with the formation of our government in 2019, big challenges kept coming in front of us. On one hand, due to Corona, the entire World including Jharkhand had come to a standstill. Even in such times, our government worked to save lives and livelihoods. Even after this, the challenges did not reduce. In the last two years, drought remained the biggest concern for us. But, even amidst these adverse circumstances, the schemes of the state government are coming on the ground in a brilliant way and a new dimension of development is being created.

The Chief Minister said that even today a large population in the rural areas of the state is forced to live a life of poverty. Here they remain trapped in the clutches of middlemen-brokers. From food items to fulfilling other needs, one has to take money from brokers. In such a situation, it is our resolve to end middlemanism. This is the reason why our government has come up with many schemes with the aim of strengthening the rural system, so that you can empower yourself by joining these schemes so that you do not have to beg in front of anyone. He said that in the coming 5 years, our government will deliver one lakh rupees to every household every year, so that you do not need to take a loan from anyone.

The Chief Minister said that our daughters will not become a burden but a strong asset. The government is working with full force for the empowerment of our sisters and daughters. He told the people that they should definitely educate their daughters. Do not worry about the expenses on education. The government is taking full responsibility of the education of girls. The Chief Minister said that he is well aware of the problems and pain of his sisters and daughters. In such a situation, the government is constantly working on how to take them forward. In this series, Jharkhand is empowering half the population through the Chief Minister Maiyaan Samman Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is known as the golden bird in the country and the world. There is abundance of mineral resources here, but the tribals and natives here are backward till date. The reason for this is that Jharkhand never had any importance in the eyes of the policy makers of the country. The people here were left to work as labourers. They were always forced to migrate for livelihood. The extent to which Jharkhand was sidelined can be gauged from the fact that even today this state owes Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore to the Centre. If we get this money, we will completely change the condition and direction of Jharkhand.

The Chief Minister inaugurated 96 schemes at a cost of Rs 201 crore 83 lakh 6 thousand 547 in this programme. In this, the foundation stone of 77 schemes worth Rs 153 crore 33 lakh 3 thousand 847 was laid, while 19 schemes worth Rs 48 crore 50 lakh 2 thousand 650 were inaugurated. Along with this, assets worth Rs. 103 crore 41 lakh 80 thousand were distributed among the beneficiaries.

Minister Deepak Biruwa, MP Joba Manjhi, MLA Niral Purti, MLA Dashrath Gagrai, MLA Sukhram Oraon, MLA Sona Ram Sinku, Kolhan Division Commissioner Hari Kumar Keshari, DIG Manoj Ratan Chauthe, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of West Singhbhum District and many officers of the district administration were present in the Shahadat Diwas program.
