Grand pavilion to attract investment at UP events

Wednesday, 28 August 2024 | PNS | Lucknow/Greater Noida

With the objective of attracting substantial domestic and international investment in the information technology sector, the IT and Electronics department is planning to showcase a grand pavilion at the Electronica India Expo and UP International Trade Show, scheduled to take place in Greater Noida, from September 11 to 13 and from September 25 to 29, respectively.

In this regard, Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) has initiated the process of selecting agencies and allocating work.

In recent years, the state has seen development of significant clusters in information technology, electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing, and plans are underway to establish more of these.

The upcoming events will be held at India Expo Centre and Mart in Knowledge Park Phase-2, Greater Noida. The IT and Electronics department will use its pavilions at both events to showcase the state’s investment-friendly policies, highlight the operational clusters and their achievements under the Yogi Adityanath government, and present plans for future cluster development.

The events will also feature sector-specific knowledge sessions, partner country sessions, B2B/B2G/G2G meetings, networking opportunities, and an innovation exhibition showcasing global technology and products.

At Electronica India, organised by SEMICON India, the UP IT and Electronics department will establish and manage a 145-square-metre pavilion. For the UP International Trade Show, organised by India Exposition Mart Limited, a 100-square-metre pavilion will be set up in Hall No. 5 on the ground floor.

This pavilion will be equipped with digital displays, a VVIP lounge, coffee vending machines, LED video walls, and interactive screens, all centered around a creatively themed concept.
