National Doctor's Day, July 01, is observed to honour the legendary physician and West Bengal's second Chief Minister, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy whose birth and death anniversary coincides on the same day.
AHPI (Association of Healthcare Providers of India) Jharkhand Chapter has proposed for a Joint programme for all Hospitals and Nursing Homes of Jharkhand to celebrate the day by organizing a get together, honouring and felicitating their doctors with memento/by cake cutting etc especially for their dedication and contribution in this panic situation of COVID pandemic. Special honour may be given to specific doctors for their special contributions as COVID Warriors.
