Former General Manager of ‘The Pioneer’ Dipak Mukherji died after a prolonged illness at a private hospital of the city on Thursday. He was 75 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Mukherji was suffering from cancer but died of heart failure.
He had joined ‘The Pioneer’ in 1992 as General Manager and was associated with it till 2010. Before this, he had worked with Bata and The Statesman, Kolkata.
Governor Ram Naik and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav have condoled the death of Mukherji.
