Excesses on Muslims fuel extremism, says Owaisi

President of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi here on Wednesday blamed ‘government sponsored excesses’ on Muslims for the spurt in extremism in the country.

Without naming anyone, he said, “It was not me who spoke on 80:20 (population ratio), Kabristan and Shamshan; and houses were demolished without giving notices to occupants in Sendhwa and Khargone.” If you are in power, please propagate principals of natural justice and accept replies, you are the none who is fuelling such things. He was talking to media persons here on Wednesday.

He gave an example of love marriage in MP town after which the DM concerned had demolished the house of the groom calling his family anti-national. The girl later had to seek refuge in High Court seeking protection for herself and in laws, claimed Owaisi adding what kind of message is conveyed by such action. “If these things won’t fuel extremism, what else will.”

He underlined that none of the Muslim organisations is backing what happened in Udaipur.

He stated that the Congress party shall be finished, because this party had helped Prime Minister Narandra Modi to come to power twice.

The leader criticised both Congress and BJP for ignoring the minority in their regime. He also added that they did not want to form the government, but they want share in power with the help of minority, dalits, and tribal.

He criticised Congress for losing its government in MP, “Why did Congress ignore Jyotiraditya Scindia’s claim in the government? Why the Congress was not ready to send Scindia in Rajya Sabha? All this lead to shift 22 MLA from the government and the Congress lost the government”.

Talking about the threat given to PM Modi, he condemn “Narendra Modi is our Prime Minister and such things are strongly objectionable”.

He added that the AIMIM is going to contest state assembly election of 2023 and presently the party is participating in the local bodies elections.

Talking about Agniverr scheme, he claimed that the new scheme will be going to destroy the grace of the army personnel and also going to bring unemployment.
