Many BJD workers from Brahmagiri in Puri district and Parjang in Dhenknal district joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan here on Sunday.
Former Factories and Boilers Director Shantanu Mishra, former Puri DEO Salila Sethi and Brahmagiri’s retired Headmaster Jayaram Das and retired teacher Damodar Jena, former Maluda GP Samiti member Trinath Puhan, BJD youth president Tuna Puhan and many active workers of the ruling party of Brahmagiri area joined the BJP.
Similarly, Manyh BJD workers of the Parjang block’s Kankadahada gram panchayat joined the saffron party.
Pradhan welcomed the workers to the party by offering them caps and shawls.
Among others, retired Administrative Officer Ashok Tripathy, Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra and Angul district president Bibhuti Pradhan were present.
