DGP for action against SPs, who ignore careless SHOs

The Superintendent of Police (SP) who does not take action against careless SHO will be punished. Regarding this, Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta said that if in any district the SHO is harassing an innocent or releasing a guilty person after taking money. If the SP of that district is not taking any action against the SHO, then action will be taken against him as well, he said.

The DGP said that the complaint against the police officers of the district will be looked into by the DIG of that range himself.

Gupta said that if any such officer who is not listening to the complaint of the common man and if this matter comes to my notice, then that police officer will be removed from that position. He said that this is my commitment to the general public.

Apart from this the DGP action will also be taken against the SHO who does not register FIR and the police officers who procrastinate. He has issued an order regarding this. In the order issued, it has been said that strict disciplinary action will be taken against the policemen who misbehave and misbehave with the general public.

Gupta also said that information is being received from various sources that in many districts of Jharkhand, the station in-charge and other police personnel, especially the clerk, do not behave well with the general public. They do not even give receipts in the police station on the complaints of the public. Due to which the victims keep wandering and they do not get proper justice, he added.
