Countdown has begun to the innovative programme of the DGP Jharkhand Anurag Gupta and his team called Jan Shikayat Samadhan Karyakaram slated for September 10.
Publicity posters of it are coming up in the length and breadth of the district. There are instant viewers too. Girls are also viewing it with keen interest.
Right from DIG of Police Palamu Y S Ramesh down to the SP Reeshma Ramesan all police workforce is leaving no stone unturned to make this Jan Shikayat Samadhan Karyakaram a grand success.
One Umesh Dubey, who read the poster of the programme on roadside said, "I am impressed. But this Jan Shikayat Samadhan Karyakaram be not only a publicity stunt or propaganda. I wish it delivers, no matter how little."
Police poster in regard to Jan Shikayat Samadhan Karyakaram is a good drawee of viewers everywhere.
Some disbelieve it not for any reason of their any malice towards the police but the track record of this department has always been a debatable thing.
Sportsmen too want to reach this programme. It's not for any bat or ball. It's for the field. Will police ensure the players get to the field to play football / cricket?
Police sources said last year some players of a particular caste / community were refrained from playing in a field asking them to choose another ground which was not around in the Panki Assembly constituency.
The players abandoned their games as they were poor and they could not afford badminton - cork game which is pretty costlier.
It would be in the fitness of things if the police come out in the evening of September 10 with details / data of the complaints or grievances maintaining confidentiality of the persons who so filed it.
A close scrutiny and study of the plethora of the complaints / grievances if it lands in this Jan Shikayat Samadhan Karyakaram will help police in many ways.
It will be equally interesting to see if residents complain about growing drug menace / poppy cultivation etc or just leave these two 'crimes' to eat into the vitals of the society.
