Congress to invigorate the failures of central and state

Saturday, 28 February 2015 | PNS | Lucknow:

The state unit of the Congress will use the failures of central and State Government to invigorate the party workers as AICC general secretary and in-charge of state affairs, Madhusudan Mistry asked party men to highlight the failures of both the governments in a forceful manner through protest on March 12.

The Congress plans ‘rail roko, and highway jam karo’ agitation for March 12. In a meeting of the party workers held here on Friday Mistry said that the BJP-led NDA Government has failed on all the fronts. During elections the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised moon to the people but has failed to translate his words into action. Modi said he will bring back black money in 100 days. Where is it,“ he said.

“The Narendra Modi led government has failed on all fronts. The land acquisition law brought by the previous UPA government is being changed to serve the interests of capitalists. The people feel betrayed,” he said. The UPCC in-charge said in Akhilesh Raj corruption is at its peak in the state. Cases against ministers are being probed by the lokayukta. Crime especially against women is on the rise,” he said, adding that all these  problmes have to be highlighted in a forceful manner to apprise the people about them through the agitation planned for March 12.

Mistry and UPCC president Nirmal Khatri, who was also present in the meeting, reviewed the ongoing membership drive and enquired about the preparation for the agitation from the leaders. The two leaders also discussed the prevailing political situation in the state.

The state unit of Congress has decided to hold protests all over the state by stalling rail and road traffic on March 12 against the anti-people policies of the central government and the dismal law and order under the Samajwadi Party government.
