CM Nath to expand ‘Ayushman Yojana’

Chief Minister Kamal Nath has directed to expand ‘Ayushman Madhya Pradesh’ Yojana in all the districts of the State. He mentioned that the timely better health services in the closest health centers should be ensured for all.

Kamal Nath was reviewing the ‘Ayushman Madhya Pradesh’ Yojana at Mantralaya on Friday. The Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silawat was present at the review meeting.

 The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to ensure that the benefits of Ayushman Yojana reach maximum people. He said that under the scheme, priority should be given to the best quality hospitals through the state health agency to affiliate private hospitals in each district.

 A directory should be prepared in this regard. He said that the hospitals which have been included in the scheme should be monitored continuously to avoid lapses. The Chief Minister further said that strict action should be taken against the medical institutions involved in irregularities.  The Chief Minister directed to provide golden cards to all the eligible beneficiaries in the next six months. Besides, Nath directed to present a draft of Health Security for the retired and working Government employees soon. The Chief Minister, keeping in view the difficulties being faced by the beneficiaries in Ayushman Bharat ‘Niramyam’ Yojana has asked to reconsider the reserved packages for the Government hospitals.

The Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silawat informed about the award bagged by the Health Department for the Real Time Monitoring App for the Malaria Elimination Demonstration Project, Model Comprehensive Abortion Care Service and the patients of TB and Digital Transformation award to the Food and Drug Administration.

The Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Dr Pallavi Jain Govil informed that 1.31 crore cards have been made so far under the ‘Aysushman Bharat Madhya Pradesh’ Yojana.

Claims of 1.75 lakh people have been received till date under the scheme and out of these claims; the payment of Rs. 157.11 crore has been made to 1.18 lakh people for the medical treatment.

 As many as 257 camps have been organised under the scheme. Ninety eight private and 339 Government hospitals have been registered for the medical treatment, she added. Chief Secretary SR Mohanty, Commissioner Health Prateek Hajela and Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat Niramyam Dr J Vijay Kumar were present at the meeting.
