Buyers from 72 countries will attend the second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS), with approximately 400 already registered by August 9. These participants represent ten regions, from Europe to Oceania and Africa, and over 500 international buyers are anticipated.

The event, set to take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida, promises to be a spectacle, even grander than its 2023 predecessor, with preparations already underway by the Uttar Pradesh government.

So far, the UP International Trade Show has attracted participants from a diverse range of regions. The highest representation comes from Africa, with 14 countries registered. Europe, West Asia, and North Africa (WANA) regions have 12 countries involved. The Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region has eight countries. In comparison, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has seven. Five countries represent Southeast Asia (SEA), and both South Africa (SA) and Northeast Asia (NEA) have four countries each. North America (NAFTA) and Oceania have three countries each.

When it comes to buyers, the WANA region stands out with the largest contingent, boasting 75 buyers. This is followed by 50 buyers each from the CIS, Africa, and South Africa. The LAC region has 35 buyers, while Northeast Asia (NEA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) have 20 buyers each, and NAFTA has 18.

The UP International Trade Show is generating significant national and international excitement, with increased participation expected this year. The number of exhibitors is set to rise from 2,000 in 2023 to 2,500 in 2024.

Visitor numbers are also projected to grow, with 1,00,000 expected for Business-to-Business (B2B) interactions, up from 70,000 last year, and 350,000 for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions, compared to 237,000 in 2023. Additionally, the show anticipates the emergence of 1,25,000 new business opportunities, up from 1,00,000 in the previous edition.

The UP International Trade Show is not just a platform for a single industry, but a vital global platform for entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and exporters across various sectors. These include major industries, IT/ITES, MSMEs, startups, education, agriculture, health, tourism, culture, energy, and the state’s One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
