Unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the house of a businessman at Gurujang of the district on Saturday night. However, the businessman Prakash Routray and his family escaped unhurt.
Sources said four motorbike-borne miscreants hurled three bombs at Routray’s house and fled the spot. As Routray is also actively involved in politics, it was suspected that the incident might be the handiwork of his rivals.
“After hearing loud noise, I came out of the house and the entire spot was filled with smoke, I saw four miscreants on two bikes sped away from the spot,” said Routray.
He further informed that earlier similar attacks were also carried out on his residence at Bajapur while his poclain machine was also torched by unidentified miscreants.
Larer, a complaint has been registered at the Khurda Town police in connection with the incident. Police have seized the CCTV footage and started investigation into the incident.
