BJP stages protest agsnt state Govt for worsen law & order situation

Tuesday, 30 June 2015 | PNS | /Lucknow

On the first day of the two day stir, the Bharatiya Janata party staged statewide protest against deteriorating law and order situation in the state and oppose hike in power tariff saying the Akhilesh Yadav Government has lost the faith of the people.

“The countdown of Akhilesh Yadav Government has begun. People are fed up with the mis-rule of SP Government and now the increase in the power tariff in the urban areas has added to the woes of the masses,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur pathak said in a statement issued here on Monday.

“If in a state a CM himself admits that SP workers were calling shots at Thanas and tehsils it speaks volumes about the working of the government. This shows how effective the governance is,” he said.

Pathak said Government has even failed to extend relief to farmers. The Government has failed to clear the cane dues and the farmers are still waiting for the compensation of the crop destroyed during rains in March and April, he said.

“The BJP workers came out on streets across the state to protest the mis-rule of the government. The commoners joined the protest and aired their anger against the government,” he said.

In lucknow party’s state secretary Virendra Tiwari held protest at Kanpur road. “The district administration did not allow us to hold protest. They beat some of the party workers whereas out protest was peaceful,” Tiwari said and added that goonda raj of Samajwadi party will come to an end in 2017.

The BJP has called a two-day protest to highlight the mis-rule of the Government. Senior party leaders and MPs took part in protest in many places while on Tuesday party’s state president laxmi Kant Bajpai will lead protest in Sitapur.
