District BJP members led by Patnagarh MlA Kanak Vardahan Singh Deo and Gopal Panigrahi held discussions with senior citizens of the district and members of different organisation here on Friday.
During the interaction, the members presented their demands including setting up of an agriculture university and WODC headquarters in Balangir, declaring the Rajendra College as a university, expediting Khurda-Balangir railway line work and Balangir bypass work and extending trains up to Titilagarh.
Singh Deo said during the Narendra Modi regime, Odisha has got maximum attention and funds and many projects have come to the State like setting up of an lPG bottling plant at Balangir. He urged people to be in touch with Prime Minister Modi via Namo app and to vote for Modi to expedite the process of development.
Gopalji Panigrahi recalled the steps taken by the Balangir Action Committee to expedite the lower Suktel Irrigation Project work. He also thanked Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for setting up an lPG bottling plant in Balangir.
