Two major political groups—Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party, flayed state government for their inaction on the paper leakage case and alleged that large scale irregularities in recruitment, whether it was in Police Department, or now for selection to the top most services of the State, had clearly pointed towards a deep rooted conspiracy and demand a fair probe. RsRsJust like recruitment in police department, now same policy has been adopted in PCS preliminary examination”, Srivastava alleged adding that no state government agency would expose this syndicate and if chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who get the first paper cancelled on Monday, is serious on the issue than he must not wait for a minute and recommend both the matters for a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He also demanded removal of Anil Yadav from UPPSC chairman’s post.
Reacting on the issue, Bhartiya Janta Party state spokesman, Vijay Bhadhur Pathak said that the manner in which the Government gave clean chit to the officials of UP Public Service Commission in the paper leak case, pointed that chief minister was not serious on the issue, and is playing with the future of the students. Pathak said that this is not the first time when fingers were raised on the functioning of UPPSC chairman and it’s secretary so they must both be sacked, if state government wanted to ensure a fair enquiry as well as to give justice to the lakhs of students who had lost trust in the present officials of UPPSC.
Meanwhile IPS officer Amitabh Thakur and social activist Dr Nutan Thakur have requested Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to enquire the role of UP Public Service Commission Chairman Dr Anil Yadav in the latest PCS exam paper leaks, particularly given the fact that he went on denying any leakage despite State DGP A K Jain having already declared leakage of papers. They have also asked for paying appropriate compensation including travelling and lodging charges to each student who suffered due to this cancellation of exams due to the Commission’s faults and crime.
