Chief Minister Mohan Yadav affirmed the state government's unwavering commitment to empowering women and ensuring that the benefits of all government schemes reach even the poorest of the poor sisters. In Indian culture, sisters are cherished and revered within families, seen as symbols of good fortune.

They have the ability to fulfill family responsibilities with the same love, affection, and values as their parents. The Council of Ministers has decided to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the deep respect and affection for sisters, with great enthusiasm. On August 10, programs will be organized at 25,000 locations across the state, and with a single click, Rs 1,250 and Rs 250 will be directly deposited into the accounts of Ladli Behnas as a special Raksha Bandhan gift. Dr. Yadav assured that no scheme will be discontinued by the state government; rather, all the schemes and programs outlined in the Sankalp Patra will be implemented. The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan and the Raksha Bandhan program held at his residence.

Yadav inaugurated the event with a traditional kanya pujan ceremony and the lighting of the lamp. Upon his arrival at the venue, women sarpanches warmly welcomed him by showering flowers and singing auspicious songs. Dr. Yadav highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced numerous schemes and programs aimed at making the lives of sisters easier and more joyful. As part of these efforts, the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana was launched to provide cooking gas connections to every household. Further supporting this initiative, the state government has announced that Ladli Behnas and Ujjwala beneficiaries will receive gas cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 450. Extending his best wishes for Nag Panchami, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav encouraged the sisters to celebrate the month of Sawan with great enthusiasm and joy.

Sisters from different districts of the state presented 40 feet long Rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The Ladli Behnas also tied rakhis to the Chief Minister Dr. Yadav separately, following which the Chief Minister also gave them gifts.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that festivals have special significance in Sanatan culture, which was adversely affected due to long slavery. The bravery and valor with which Rani Durgavati fought for her heritage, culture, and honor will always be remembered. Currently, the 500th year of the birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati is going on. The Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan, a symbol of women empowerment, has been organized in the memory of Rani Durgavati. He said that after Raksha Bandhan, the festival of Janmashtami follows. On this festival, competitions should be organized for children in Panchayats and the festival of Janmashtami should be celebrated with pomp.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,' is being initiated inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged all Sarpanches to ensure that the tricolor is proudly hoisted on every house within their Panchayats. Dr. Yadav emphasized that this campaign would serve as a heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters and revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence. He encouraged everyone to celebrate the Tiranga campaign with the same pride and dignity as the national festivals of August 15 and January 26, making it a symbol of national pride in every home.

Yadav called on all sisters to make a commitment on Raksha Bandhan to curb unnecessary expenses within their families. He advised avoiding extravagant expenditures on events like Tehravin and Mrityu Bhoj, and encouraged simplicity in wedding celebrations.
