Expedite Jaibali water project: Ganjam DM
Brahmapur: District Collector Prem Chandra Chaudhary presiding over a review meeting her on Friday directed concerned officials to expedite the Jaibali water project work and complete it within the stipulated time period, November 2018. He said officials to expedite pipe laying work and fill up holes on the roads as soon as possible. He stressed on safety measures while laying pipeline near canals and paying compensation to private land holders as per Government norms. Among others, Sub-Collector Siddhartha Sankar Swain and BMC Commissioner Nikhil Pawan Kalyan were present.
Ganjam school celebrates platinum jubilee
Brahmapur: The Nuapada Government High School in Ganjam district celebrated its platinum jubilee here on Saturday. Planning and Convergence, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Usha Devi inaugurated the programme. Old Students’ Association president Bighna Raj Choudhury presided over the programme. Among others, Brahmapur University Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajendra Prasad Das, Khallikote Cluster University Vice-Chancellor Amarendra Narayan Mishra, Hyderabad Apollo Hospital cardiologist T Badri Narayan and Sarpach S Mamata were present. 3-day NITR book fair from Jan 4
Rourkela: The Biju Patnaik Central library (BPCl) of NIT Rourkela would organise a three-day annual book fair, 2018 at the NCC Ground here from January 4, 2018. Over 30 publishers and vendors from across the country would display their books on different subjects such as engineering, science, humanities and social sciences, planning and architecture, earth and atmospheric sciences and management.
