The Avantika Swami Dayananda Saraswati Rashtriya Shikshak Samman was conferred to 11 principals and four teachers of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack at DAV Chandrasekharpur here on Thursday.
The award, mounted by Delhi-based Avantika, acknowledges selfless contributions of educationists. Avantika national Director Dr Anand Agarwal lauded the rich cultural base of the city and selfless contributions of the awardees in bringing excellence in the society.
Dr Agarwan and school Principal Dr KC Satpathy gave away the awards. The awardees are Principal of the Maharshi College of Natural law Basant Sahoo, DAV Unit-8 Principal Dr Bhagyabati Nayak, Mother’s Public School Principal Poly Patnaik, Principal of DAV Pokhariput Madam Sujata, Sabarsahi High School Headmaster Pramila Dei, Headmaster of Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Fakir Mohan Nagar Prasanna Kishore Prusty, Principal of DAV Kalinganagar Bipin Sahoo, DAV Chandrasekharpur coordinator Indira Bhattacharya, Principal of DAV at CDA, Cuttack Ipsita Das, DAV Gandarpur Principal Namita Mohanty, Baramunda Saraswati Vidya Mandir Principal Suryamani Sahoo and teachers Pradeep Panda, Dr Rabindra Satapathy, Smita Das and Urmila Sahoo.
