The possibility of victory in the election, loyalty towards the organization and discharge of responsibilities will be the main basis for ticket distribution. Girish Chodankar, the chairman of the screening committee constituted for the assembly elections, expressed the above views in a press conference on Sunday.

Choranagar said that during the two-day stay, in the initial phase, the presidents, candidates, senior leaders of all the districts were met. We are trying to understand what is in the minds of the leaders and workers, brainstorming is going on on how to move forward in the elections. Our effort will be that in the next round, we meet the workers and leaders of two-three districts by making a focused arrangement and the situation of the district-wise assembly should be reviewed so that the views of as many people as possible can come to the fore. We are confident that the government will come to power again according to the situation here. Hundreds of applications have come from each assembly constituency, this clearly shows the strength of the organization, he added.

The chairman of the screening committee said that the Congress has been in favour of social equations and has kept it as the basis of its policies since independence. "Selection of candidates is difficult because it is clearly visible that strong leaders and workers from every area have applied. People are realizing that if the state has to be taken forward on the path of development, then the Congress and Mahagathbandhan government will have to be brought back," he added.

Screening committee members Poonam Paswan, Prakash Joshi, media in-charge Rakesh Sinha, Sonal Shanti, Jaishankar Pathak, Kamal Thakur, Shamsher Alam, Rishikesh Singh were also present in the press conference.
