Shutting the door for the Shiv Sena and its leaders for the bhoomi pujan for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust has issued a statement saying that only Yogi Adityanath will attend the ceremony being the main host of the function.
RJB Teerth Kshetra general secretary Champat Rai on Thursday clarified that Yogi Adityanath will be the main host of the bhoomi pujan and no other chief minister, even from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party states, has been invited.
“We will arrange a function in which all the chief ministers will be invited once the coronavirus crisis ends,” he said.
With the clarification coming from the RJB Teerth Kshetra, it is now clear that Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has not been invited for the bhoomi pujan function.
The RJB Teerth Kshetra has prepared a list of 200 invitees who will attend the function. Majority of them are those who have taken part in the Ram Mandir agitation.
However, according to sources, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has been invited for the programme along with family members of 10 kar sevaks who had lost their lives during the Ram temple movement.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would be reaching Ayodhya on Friday to review the arrangements for the bhoomi pujan. He will hold meetings with the RJB Teerth Kshetra members and the district officials.
The chief minister is expected to visit Ayodhya again on August 3 when the religious rituals for the bhoomi pujan will commence at the Ram Janmabhoomi premises.
